Monessen Catholic School
Monessen Catholic School combined parishes long before the churches. Originally, there were three Catholic schools in Monessen: St. Cajetan, Holy Name, and St. Leonard. To make the best use of resources, certain grades were assigned to different school buildings. Grades 1 -3 were housed at Holy Name; Grades 4-5 at St. Cajetan, and Grades 6-8 at Epiphany. Eventually, as the population dwindled, so did the school enrollment. Grades K-8, and the Montessori Preschool were all located at the former St. Leonard School Building. Once the churches united and became Epiphany of Our Lord, it was decided to change he name of the school to match.
